LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY.
CANTERBURY HEAD CENTRE. A special meeting' of the Canterbury Head Centra of the Royal Life-Saving Society was held last night. Present—Mr TV. Sarelius (chairman), Miss Brown, Miss Copplestone, Messrs K. Bassett, H. Breward, <T. Browne, F. L. Collins, H. S. Feast, F. J. Glackin, JT. F. McDowell and P. G. Bamford (hon. secretary). , j5 . Tho business of tho fleeting was the consideration of the proposed new rules and constitution of the Dominion Executive Council of the Boyal Life-Saving Society. These were discussed at length and it was decided, on the motion of Mr Feast, seconded by Mr Glackin, that the Centre inform the Dominion Council that it was of the opinion that the consideration of tho rule 3 was a matter for the annual conference of head centres, that the Canterbury delegate be instructed accordingly, and that other head centres be informed of that decision. . It was agreed that a complaint should be made at the delay which had occured in sending out the rules to head centres. A sub-committee, consisting of the chairman, secretary and Mr Glackin, was appointed to consider and report on both the old and the new rules of the Dominion Executive Council.
