NAVAL CONFERENCE.

CONCENTRATION OF UNITS AT SINGAPORE. (BY CABLE—MESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLZ ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, November 25. Admiralty circles point out with reference to a report from Australia that a naval conference and concentration of naval units will be held at Singapore in February, that it is only another of a series of similar conferences previously held between commanders of the China, Australian, and East India Fleets for the purpose of strengthening points, of strategy and ensuring closer co-operation of vessels.

The conference is in no way concerned with the political aspect of Singapore.

New Zealand will be represented at the naval conference that is to be held at Singapore in February, possibly by Commodore Beal, naval adviser to the Government, and one or two other cfficers of the New Zealand division of the Royal Navy.. . jT There have, as is stated in the Press cable from England, beon similar conferences . held there previously, ana the present proposed conference marks a renewal of this policy.
