The activities of the harbour are paralysed. The effects of tlio action will be much more extensive than the dislocation which followed the overtime strike. No vessel will be able to leave or enter the harbour. Negotiations for drawing up an industrial agreement have been proceeding for about three months.
COMMONWEALTH LINE. NO RESPONSE TO CALL FOR CREW. (AUSTRALIAN AXD N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) SYDNEY, November 26. Following Mr' Justice Power's decision regarding the Commonwealth Lino aiul tho stewards, tho general manager of the line appealed- to the union for a full crew for tho vessel. It was specifically stated that men who bo acceptable. The men were asked to had refused duty last, voyage would not apply in tho morning. Tho secretary of tho union states that for tho present the request will not bo complied with. He says the decision of tho men was that those who made the last voyage must be reengaged. A mass meeting will be held to-day. (Received November 27th, 12.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 26. A meeting of the Marino Stewards' Union decided to offer tho original crew to man the Moreton Bay, and expressed determination, if this be not acceptable to the management, that no other crew will be offered.
