NOTICE is hereby given that at a Meeting of the Oxford County Council held on Thursday the 25th day of September One thousand nine hundred and twenty-four at the Council Chambers Main street Oxford it was resolved that a Poll of the ratepayers within the Oxford County bo taken on the proposals to raise special loam of: (a) £20,000 for Electrical Reticulation of the Oxford County and Township and. (b) £350 for the purpose of the erection and furnishing of a Rest Room in the Oxford Township. AND FURTHER NOTICE. IS HEREBY GIVEN that: (:i) The particular purposes for which, the loan of £20,000 )3 required ia the Electrical Reticulation of the Oxford County and the carrying out and construction of Electrio Works therein as defined by "The Electric Power Board's Act 1918" including:— (i) Transmission from Cust to Oxford including tho supply to consumers along Main road. (ii) Reticulation of Oxford Township. (iii) Extension beyond. Oxford towards View Hill. (iv) Extension from Oxford towards Ashley Gorge. (v) General expenses including transformer and accessories at Oust, metering, equipment, and transport. (vi) Provision to advance money to consumers to install current. (b) It is proposed to borrow the Bum of £20,000 for the above purposes at a. rate of interest not exceeding SIX POUNDS per centum per annum with a sinking fund of not exceeding TWO ■£. ; POUNDS per centum per annum. (c) THAT tho proposed security for the said loan is a Special Rate of 2 (threeeighths) of -ii penny in the Pound upon the rateable value, being the unimproved value of all rateable property in tho County of Oxford and that duch special rate shall be an, annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 13th day of September in each and ever* year during the currency of such loan' being a period of TWENTYFIVE YEARS or until the loan is paid off and repayment of the said loan will be provided for by tho issue of debentures of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS (£100) each bearing interest at a rate riot exceeding SIX POUNDS per centum per annum payable half-yearly the term of such debentures being TWENTY-FIVE YEARS and by a sinking fund of not exceeding TWO POUNDS per centum pet annum. I (d) IT IS PROPOSED that the first year's interest and sinking fund and the cost of raising the loan shall be paid out of the moneys so raised. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT:— (a) Tho particular purpose for which the loan of THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY POUNDS is required 13 the erection «.nd suitable equipment and furnishing of a Rest Room for women and children in the Township of Oxford. (b) IT IS PROPOSED to borrow the sum of THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY POUNDS for tho above purposes at a rate of interest not exceeding SIX POUNDS per centum per annum with a sinking fund of not exceeding TWO POUNDS per centum per annum. (c) THAT the proposed security for the I said loan is a special rate of l-128th (One and one hundred and twentyeighths) of a penny in the pound levied in the samo manner and for tho same period and repayment for which is provided for in tho same mannfcr arid cm tho same terms as are eet out in the first clause (c) above excepting only that the debentures in respect of this loan shall be of tho value of FIFTY POUNDS (£SO) each. .
