Kitehingham stated at a meeting of the Grey Chamber of Commerce that as a result of the Chamber's agitation, the Forestry Department's inspector, Mr Morrison, had inspected an area from Ruuanga, along the Grey river, to Taylorville. the State coal mines reserve. He moved that the Minister of Forestry be requested to furnish tiic Chamber with a copy of Mr Morrison's report regarding this reserve; also that he be requested to make definite plans for tree-planting on this block. The motion was seconded by Mr D. Tcnnent. and carried. Mr Tennent. said it would help matters if a branch of the Forestry League -were formed in Greymouth. Messrs R- Kettle, Kitehingham, Parfitt and Tennent were appointed a sul_,.committee to report on the matter at the next meethi£. ,
