A cowardly assault was perpetrated on Saturday evening at a restaurant in Xapier, in connexion with which David Davis, aged -3, and George Edgar Cascv, 25 years, were arrested- It was stated Ibat: Paris and Casey went to Paxie's restaurant for tea. They asked for a i-orksrrew, which was refused. "When they had finished the meal they created trouble over the payment. Andrew in ejecting Casey, fought him into the street. The fight continued in front, ot' the restaurant, and Casey was either knocked down or fell. It is alleged that when Paxie stood back to allow him to rise, Davis came from behind and hit Paxie over the eye. was removed. Casey and Paxie was taken to the liospitaJ, where .the eye was removed. Casey and Davis will appear before the Court this Monday. i
