Over a thousand people assembled xn front of the Post Otfico Hotel this evening to accord the Chinese team, which arrived by the express, a welcome to the Coast. The Mayor (Mr W. H. Parfitt), in a speech from the balcony .of the Part Office Hotel, ccngratuiated the "Westland Association on its enterprise in arranging the visit, and on the elaborate preparations made, and assured the visitors that they would enjoy their stay on the Coast. , Mr E. Airey, president of the Westland Association, said the code had only been in exi tence here for three or four years, but it was making steady progress. Association football Jcept the piayers young; and some of the men who were participating ih the matches played on the Coast had reached nearly 50 years of age. Mr H. Mcb-ane, chairman of the Kugoy League, also welcomed the team. Mr A K.
