WOOLSTON POLITICS.
TO THE EDITOR OF "THE PItESS." Sir, —I hare waited to see if any of Mr Rowse's supporters would write about the much advertised affairs of our School Committee, but so far everyone is silent. It seems to me thiit thcr£ must be some personal animosity or, in other words, the two union secretaries that tire taking such part in this matter have ail axe to grind. Why this persistent bickering by these men, of a man who lias-for years given all his spare time for the welfare of our district, for jvhat reward? Mud-slinging. \Vnv 'did not these people who arc crying Ifr Rouse down get-nominated for the committee ? They had every opportuTutjj'.if they are 60 anxious to show their only wish io for the benefit of the district? AVhen a man is doing Ins best, if you cannot do better, let him alone. Here we are trying to live down the bad namo we have had in the past, and we are doing it, ir. spite of the few, probably Extreme Labour, who are fighting tooth'and ,nail for the old stylo that is being gradually eliminated by the people of Wools ton, who want better rule to obtain. I see the L.8..C. has nominated their candidates for the Tramway Board, this will be an excellent time for the silent vote to count. Of course, if you publish this letter, I shall 'get nothing but vituperation from certain parties, but .for obvious reasons I shall sign my self. —-Yours,, etc., LET WELL ALONE.
