BENEFIT CONCERT.
A very successful concert was held in the Scottish Society's Hall last Thursday evening by the Thistle Association Football Club, in aid of an injured player of the Lyttelton Club. Mr John S. Chisholm, honorary president of the club, presided over a good attendance The proceedings were opened with a selection by the Scottish Society's Pipe Band, under Pipe-Major Pattera..n. Ihe allowing contributed items :-S.ngs, Misses Nelson, Mcßratney, and Colvilie, Messrs Cooper, B.shop, Allison, and Clark; whistling solo, Mr W. Mizen; clog d.mce Miss N Smith; international reel. Misses Bruce, Aitken, and Craig (2); character song, M.as Joan Hughes; duets, Miss Nelson and Mr Bishop and Messrs Allison aud Co.ville; Irish reel, Misses Craig $). Aitken, and Bruce. The accompan.sts were Mesdames Cocks and Smiih. A dance followed, Mr iG. Buist acting as M.C.
