POLICE FIRE ON CROWD.

KINGSTON (Jamaica), June 9,
A strike of municipal labourers for an increase in pay developed into a riot, in which Corporation property was destroyed. The mob attacked the police and reinforcements arrived. Finally the police were compelled to fire on the rioters, killing two and wounding several.
The military.,were called out and the rioters dispersed.
