to tbs ssrroß or "thz rsxas." Sir,—ln the coal trade regulations gazetted more than a year ago. it was laid down that no false description was to be used when selling coal. Slack is certainlj' not coal, yet the supply of coal laid in by me last week contained a big proportion of that stuff, which was described and charged for as coal. The "false description" clause does not appear to be operative. At whose instigation has it been suspended or rendered ineffective?— Yours, etc., HOU&EHOLDOSR. May 13th, 1924.
