At New .Year time ftj Wdllinjfton young man spent a few days' holiday with his people down in Southland. Tho latter were busy harvesting at the time and it fell to the lot of the "homecomer" to take ant the lunches to the workers in the field. At afternoon tea one day a horse of one of the teams had something of a coughing bout.
