WOOLSTON SCHOOL.
At the monthly meeting of the Woolston School Committee there were present Messrs D. Rowse (chairman), Deane, Cuming, Jones, Cox and Johns and Mesdames Robinson and Gilbert (secretary). Before commencing the business the chairman referred to the accident at the batiis, and moved that a letter of sympathy, be sent to Mr and Mrs K.ing. The neaamaster reported that tno attendance was good, tho school being comfortably hlled. The committee decided not to sanction the appointment of Miss Franklyn for the present, as a protest against the grading of teachers, it being agreed that it did not deal famy with the older teachers. The chairman and Messrs Deane and Johns were instructed to get estimates for asphalting the pergola. The chairman reported everything ready for the school picnic, the train to leave Woolston at 8.45 on Friday for Eakaia. Messrs Cox, Johns, and Deano and Mesdames Robinson and Gilbert were appointed a Visiting Committee.
