WORLD LOPSIDED.
LEADERS GULL FILIPINOS.
(1)1 CABLE—P3EBS ASSOCIATION COPYBIGHT.) (Sydney "Sun" Service.) MANILA, February 3. Investigations throw a curious light on the revolutionary movement among tho Colurum tribesmen in the southern islands. ' . The leaders announced that the world was lopsided and in danger of falling over, and in order to forestall the catastrophe an enormous cable was required to pull the globe back into its proper position. For this cable immense quantities of hemp were needed. Followers, freely believing this legend, devoted their energies to tho cultivation o£ hemp, and the bulk of tho yield was presented to tho leaders, who sold the hemp and pocketed the proceeds.
A hundred Colurums have surrendered, and the revolt is breaking down.
