Donald Matheson, 57 years of age, was convicted and fined 40s, in default seven days' imprisonment. ... Thomas Long, on a charge of helpie33 drunkenness, was convicted and ordered to pay 17s 6d medical expenses, in default seven days' imprisonment.
DEFICIENT MILK.
William Hewinson (Mr R. L. Saunders) and Albert Marker were each convicted and fined £3 and costs for selling milk below tho etandaid. DISMISSED.
The case in which Alfred Samuel Wakelin (Mr G. G. Lockwood) was charged with selling milk below the standard was dismissed. BY-LAW BREACHES. "

William Ullrich was convicted without penally on a charge of carying out plumbing work when he was not registered. Ho dealt with on two charges of tailing to carry out plumb.ng work as required by the Riccartcn .borough Council.
IN OTHER PLACES.
TWO WOMEN SENT TO GAOL. (PSBSS ASSOCIATION TELEGEA2I.) AIftjKXiAND, January 25. ,Ruby Florence Madigan, thirty-six years of ajje, and \uy Moore, auas Cashmore, twentynine years of age, were sentenced to three and two months' imprisonment respectively ior the theft of three gowns from the premises of the Melbo Fur Company.
Mr Poynton, S.iX., expressed the opinion, that the accused had been travelling together.
SERIOUS CHARGE AGAINST SCHOOL TEACHER. ' (PEESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAJI.) KEI/SOX, January 25. Hubert Reginald Holdaway, aged .twentyseven, single, a school teacher, pleaded guilty to three charges of indecent assault on boya while "camping out. He was committed to the 'Wellington Supreme Court for sentence.
