[The Washington Treaty for the Limitation of Naval Armament specific* ally' mentions H.M.A.S. Australia as one of the British ships to ba "scrapped." The Treaty prescribes the following rules for the scrapping of vessels. A vessel to be scrapped must be placed in such a condition that it citn'not be put to combative Use. This result may be effected by (a) permanent sinking of the ship; (b) Breaking the vessel up, and (c) converting the vessel to target use exclusively.]
