The thorough reorganisation of.,** 6 Department o£ Agriculture in Fiji is being undertaken, and Mr Adrian Despeissis, M.E.A.C., has arrived from West Australia to accomplish the muchdesired end. Mr Despeissia is keenly interested in the destruction of pests by their natural enemies, and hopes to kill the moth Levuana Irridesens, which is doing so much damage, to the coconut industry. He . hopes to see the pineapple industry become as large and important in Fiji as it is m Hawaii. He will also investigate the rice and cotton industries, with a view of establishing them on a sound commercial basis. Much is expected from his arrival in the colony.
