* FREE GIFT OF SITES. (bt cable— pbess association —coptbight.) (austbalian ahd h.z. cable association) LONDON, July 11. Mr L. O. M. S. Amery, First Lord of the Admiralty, informed the House of Commons that the Government of the Straits Settlement had decided to acquire whatever sites were needed for the naval base at Singapore, and an aeiodrome, which would be handed over aa a free gift to Britain.
