DRAINAGE BOARD LOAN POLL.
TO TIIE EDITOR OF "THE PRESS."' Sir, —As a number of enquiries have been addressed to the Association with reference to the above poll, which takes place to-morrow (Thursday), we beg that you will permit us to state, for the information of citizens generally, that the committee of our Asso ciation has thoroughly examined tho proposals of the Drainage Board, and is satisfied that they are sound and equitable. Once it is granted that any undrained portion of the city is a potential menace to the whole community, and that convenineces enjoyed by one portion of the community should, as far as possible, be available for all, no fault can be found with the proposals for differential rating between the new area to be served, and the central area, which appears to have, been arrived at with full regard for the interests of all. We venture to advise our members and others to vote for the loan proposals. —Yours, etc., . (Signed) J. A. FROSTICK, President. WM. MACHIN, Chairman. Julv lltli.
