At hong Island the American open "oil championship started with a record entry of 360, of whom ninety played thirty-six holes to-day. Sarazen. Francis and Gallett who are bracketed, lead in the first eighteen holes with a total of 73, and Hutchison, is second with U. Kirkwood plays on J-Hes-day.
