CHINESE GAMBLERS.

As an outcome of thfc police raid on a Chinese laundry last evening, this morning Joe Yin Dick was charged with keeping a common gaming-house, and was fined £lO and costs. The others were charged with being found on the- premises, and were fined £1 each with .costs. Five who did not appear wero ordered to show cause in tha afternoon why the bail of £5 each should not be forfeited. The paraphernalia for fan tan was seized,• together with a sum of money on the tables. Those charged included a number of strangers who came to Wnncanui to attend the funeral of a orominent Chinaman.
