DOMAINS BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The Christohuroh Domains Board met yesterday. Present: 'Messrs G. Harper (chairman), J. A. Fleaher, A. D. Ford, C. W. Hervey, E. F. Stead, A. W. Owles, J. F. Scott, and A. Freeman. The Town Clerk wrote stating that the City Council had adopted the recommendation of the Reserves Committee to accept the Board's offer to provide .ground in North Hagiey Park, free of charge, on condition that the Council pay the cost of preparing it for the growing of plants and shrubs for replanting in the city reserves. The Auditor-General returned the balancesheet of the Board without a tag. A letter was reoeived from the District Public Trustee, Btating that the final payment out of the C. A. C. Cuningham estate had been paid to the Board. The Sports Committee in its report recommended that the Board* include one tow of trees on the north side of the Hagley Park cricket ground, extending the full length of that ground and of - the Christ's College cricket ground, and also include a portion of ground on the south side of the Hagley Park cricket ground. It was further recommended to the clubs concerned that an iron, park railing be erected. It was resolved to receive the letter of the secretary of: the Canterbury Hockey Association of June.7ti, and to forward a Copy of his letter to the Canterbury Cricket Association calling its attention to the unsatisfactory condition of t*>e Hospital Corner area under its control. Mr H. J. Beswick agreed to the suggestion that he shou'd endeavour to interview the ohairman of the Canterbury Cricket Association, Mr David Redpath, on the above subject. The report was adopted. Tae financial statement showed: Income for the month, £465 14s 7d; expenditure, £264 Is lid; debit balance at date, £9"5 14s lid; Trust account, credit, £1636 Os lOd; outstanding levies, £2434.
