Whiteley Couch was remanded to appear at Wangomii on July 11th, on a charge of having stolen War Bonds to the value of £IOO, the property of the Bain Estate end another MAINTENANCE. William Frederick Leah was .sentenced to throa months' imprisonment for disobedience of a maintenance order. AFTER HOURS. George Anderson, Alexander Mussen, Georgo t pence, and Hector Turhbull were each fined 203 and costs for having been found pn the premises of the Waltham. Arms Hotel after hours. Mussen was a.so fined 20a for. haying given a falae name _ and address.' ILLEGALLY ON RACECOURSE. David Thomas McGavin pleaded guilty to a charge" of having unlawfully attended a race meeting at, Aldington, he being a person excluded from the course. Ho was ordered to pay costs 7s. BICYCLE THEFT. Frederick Wilson Bell was charged with the theft of a bicycle valued at £6 10a, the piopcrty of Herbert Donby. ' Accused, who suid ho had taken; a drug and did not know what he was doing, was convicted and sentenced ,to one month's imprisonment with hard labour,'the Magistrate stating that he did not be.ieve the story. ALLEGED CONSPIRACY.

Scottish mortgage amounted to £350, but it was not immediately procurable. Simpson said ■Williamson drove up to the Black Horse Hotel in a motor-car,, at noon on Sunday,., May 6th, and asked for a drink. He was' tbfusod, and threatened to shoot if he' did not get drink..
