I ft ' There was a. good attendance at the Rugby 1 I street lecture hall on Tuesday evening, when the Rev. T. G. Brooke gave a moat inter- ' eating address on mission work amongst the r Maoris in the Auckland district. The chair . was occupied by the Rev. J. Napier Milne, and the local report v.sb presented by Mr A..D. Haseall. A. motion was unanimously carried thanking Mr Brooke for his address . and expressing appreciation of the very effective service rendered to the Church dnr- ; jng the period of 15 years, in whioh he had l' filled the position 'of general secretary for ' Home Missions. At the next conference he • will become a supernuraary, and. take up hi*i ÜBmidaim* at Anoiland.
