Speaking at Mt. Albert last night, the Hon. O. J. Parr, Minister of Education, said that the Liberals had refused the olive branch held out to them by the Reform Party, and if there Tvas another election, it would be precipitated by t'heir refusal to give a measure of workingjsuppoit to the present Government, which admittedly of the three parties alone had sufficient strength tj function as a Cabinet. The Government would make every effort to carry otx, but if there was factious opDosi. tion, and an attempt was made to Elace the Government in a position of another ejection must result this year.
