(PSISS ASSOCIATION TELIOBAM.) TE AROHA, February 26. The interment of the cremated remains of Sir "William Hemes took place here to-day. There was a large assemblage at the railway station, as the train bearing the remains arrived. The casket was escorted along the platform followed by the Prime Minister as chief mourner, and members of Cabinet and both Houses of Parliament. Also in attendance were Sir Joseph Ward, Sir Frederic Lang, the late Minister's private secretaries, Mr Johnson and Mr Balneavis, representatives of the Governor-General, Railways, Native Affairs, Defence, Customs, and other Departments which the late Sir William Henries had controlled, or had been associated with in his Ministerial capacity, and also of all local bodies in the Tauranga electorate. Others represented were the »T>rafnage Board, Polo Club, Returned Soldiers' Association, Jockey and Trotting Clubs, sports bodies, Hospital Board, Education Board, Fire Brigade and Municipal Band. In addition there were scores of private cars.

The -funeral procession passed from the railway station to St. Mark's Anglican Church, where, a brief but beautiful ceremony was conducted by Archdeacon Cowie, an old friend of Sir "William. The procession, headed by the Municipal Band and Fire Brigade, traversed Kenrick street and Stanley road to the cemetery, where Archdeacon Cowie, assisted by. the Rev. R. L. Connolly,! vicnr of St. MnrFs, conducted the burial service. The cremated remains wore encased in a small oak casket.. Members of district local bodies acted as pall bearers at the church, and members of the Ministry were #ie pall bearers at the graveside. The procession was well over a mile in length, and included 120 motor-cars, many horse-drawn vehicles, and ■hundreds of pedestrians. Scores of wreaths were laid on the grave. \
