Yachting. The Canterbury Yacht Club -will hold i~o races this afternoon, a sailing race for the Miller Memorial Cup, and a motor-boat race for tie Tuohy Cup. Bovrting. Radclifie, J. Sanderson (sj. Seamen's Institute. The Thursday night concert at the Seamen's Institute was given by the Lyttelton Ladies' Guild, to a hall filled with seamen from the Arawa and Westmoreland. The programme was arranged by Mrs ii. J. Miller, president of the Guild. Items were given by Hisses Slater. Carson, Miller, Kathleen Chappie. McCormick. and Messrs Carson, Page, Porter, and Jeffries. Several humorous items were ?iven by seamen off the Aravra. Miss Miller was the aecompaniste. The ladies ot the Guild served supper at the close of the concert.
