NURSERYMEN'S CONFERENCE.
(PMfIS ASSOCIATTOH TELEOSAM.) WELLINGTON, January 18. At the nurserymen's conference it was decided that the next conference be held at Pahnerston North. Remits were carried urging the council to support a suggestion to set apart a portion of Somes Island as a plant quarantine station; that the attention of the Government be drawn to the danger of introduction from Australia and the United States of America of the tomato wilt; also whito quail, which attacks citrus trees.
