CANTERBURY DRIVERS' PICNIC.
—♦ A meeting of the Canterbury Drivers' Picnic Committee was held at the Trades Hall on Thursday night, Mr J. McSweeney being in the chair. The secretary, Mr H. Hunter, reported that ail arrangements hud been made for the excursion to Waihora P&Tk on January 2nd. The train would leave Chris bchurch at 9.10 a.m. and return from Motukara# at 6.20 arriving e.t <. liristchurch at 7.17 p.m. The New Brighton Band had been engaged to supply music for the function. The various business firms were subscribing generously towards the prize fund and the success of the picnic •waa assured. The following committees were appointed: Adults eporti3 committee, W\ J.
