The Detroit polio© have just diecovered an unusual, defalcation by an employee of the Ford Motor Company, and obtained the confession of a timekeeper who stole for th© purpose of maintaining deserving boys at a university. The defalcation totals 10,000 dollars.
The timekeeper came to know two 6tu7lents who worked in the Ford plant in the Bummer time. They declared! that lack of money during, tho term would keep them from the university. He took their tnne cards and continued to claim their pay weekly, which he forwarded to. theaa. The theft was successful, and he therefore obtained the time cards of rune other men, who had left the Ford employment, and drew weekly pay wluoh he also partly appropriated to his own use. The students have made partial restitution.
