• —; ♦ Licensing Committee. The business of tho quaiterly meeting of tho Lyttelton Licensing Committee, which was heltl yesterday, was transacted in record time, less, than one minute. The only master dealt with was un application for » trunsior of the license of the British Hotel from Horace Webb to E. Coslollo, which was granted. ✓Election. Results. The screening of tho election results from tho wholo of the Dominion will commence shortly, before eight o'clock to-night. Tho largo screen was erected yesterday in front of the British Hotel, and everything is in readiness for displaying the results before tho public of Lyttcllo-i. The display is being made jointly ,• tho Chrintchurcli Tress Co., Ltd., a"d the Lvtfelton Times Co., Ltd., and news of the reau'.U come* uy direct wire fiom tho receiving staS at "The Press" office. Tho two Lyttelton candidate* will speak from in front of the Harbour Board office as soon as the final result from that electorate is made known. The Lyttelton Marino Band wil play a. programme in tho early part of the oveninr. Shipping for Month. During 1 the month of November of this year 07 vessels, with a total net tonnns»o of 80,832 tons, entered the port of Lyttelton, ae against 127 vessels, aggregating' 130,073 tons, during the corresponding month of 1921.
