Work on the -waterfront will cease at noon to-day on account of the general election. The Kamo is due this morning from the Chatham Islands and after discharging sheep will sail for Greymouth and Westport to load for Lyttelton. The Wanaka is due to-morrow from Auckland, via New Plymouth and Wellington. She is to sail in. the afternoon for Dunedin. The Waikouaiti ie to be floated out of dock to-day and will lay tip at the Gladstone Pier for the present.' The Kahika is now to load at Timaru tomorrow and at Lyttelton on Saturdayi for Kelson andi New Plymouth.
