KIR WEE CLUB. The Kirwee Amateur Athletio Club held its second evening meeting ou Thursday. There was a good attendance, ana some good finishes were witnessed. Stewart (scr) 29ft 4in 2, A. E. Laing (4ft) 26ft llin 3. DUNN SHIELD COMPETITION. (Received December 3rd, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 3. The Dunn ! hie'.d athletic championship competitions were opened yesterday. Curr won the heat and the final of the 100 yrrds sprint bath in.ten seconds, equalling the New South Wales record. He also won the quarter mile' in 50 3-5 seconds, a new Dunn Shield record.' Other events were contested, but no records were broken. Beck won the 50 yards backstroke swimming championship in 31 2-saec, an Australian record.
