Sir Jameß Allen suggests that if Australia wants to give the next of kin of dead soldiers a worthy memento she -should come in with New Zealand's proposal to. send them coloured'photographs of the war graves as seen in the springtime. It -will cost New Zealand £6OOO if she acts alone, and half that amount if Australia will collaborate. He oould conceive no better permanent record.
