BOARD OP CONTROL. " * The monthly meeting of the Board of Control of Lancaster Paric. was.,held yesterday. Present—Mr S. P. Wilson (chairman), Dr. Thacker* M.P., Messrs P. Wilding, K.C., H. H. Wau'chop, S. A. Orchard, R. B. Ward, W. Simpson, A. Dey, A. E.' McPhail, D. Redpath, and J. O. McGillivray (secretary). The Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association wrote applying for the use of the Park for a series l ! of evening meetings on the same terms as last year, £5 5s for twelve meetings. The letter added that , Tuesday was the only | evening that was suitable to the various clubs. - - , . ' . It was decided to grant the use of the Park for twelve meetings on the terms suggested. In regard to the actual evenings, it was, after a short discussion, resolved to agree to the Tuesday evenings. An application for the use of Lancaster Park on January sth,. 6th, and Bth, for the test match, New Zealand v. Maclaren s M.O.C. team, was granted, subject _to_ the formal consent of the Cricket Association. It was agreed to reduce the Linwood Cricket Club's rent from £45 to £3O for two wickets at the Park. The financial statement for October showed receipts amounting to £794 10s lid, with a balance at the bank of £661 16s sd. The chairman said that the position was that the credit' balance was now* about £4BO.
