It warns the Tongans thattheircountryhas been bartered by unftfSruptilous people of rahk,, who will forcibly take it, snd advises.them to love their country, and not squander the money received for their produce on decorations for their women, but in arms aid ammunition to save the country'from the big, forceful, grasping ■ Empire. .. it: demands that Great Britain should show?; for Tonga, with-, out'violating, the treaty. The circular concludes:—-"God bless Quee.n Charlotte;; who has no' protector; •' This was written by-the committee of a society which shoots pebplo for the lovd of their country.''; • '"* : • The translator points out that the circular is,;written in such bad Tongan, and is so worded, that it can easily be detected as the work of a European foreigner. . > . -
