FOOTBALL.

CANTEBBUBY BUGBY UNION.

Another exciting match, will bo witnessed at Lancaster Park to-morrow, when Marists will meet Old Boys on the Oval. This match in past years has been looked forward to with keen, interest, and to-morrow's fixture is no exception in this respect. It will be extremely interesting to observe the merits of the two teams playing under the amended rule regarding kicking into touch, which will .operate ill all Rugby competition matches to-morrow for the fust time. On th.s account more than usual interest to tins match, which will undoubtedly eclipse tne excitement created last (Saturday, and tlie hopes of those desirous of seeing a fast and exciting game should' be fully realised. Un the west ground Albion will meet 'Varsity, and here also a great struggle is expected, both tea ma being evenly matched. Ideiivale will play SydenSam-Lyttelton on the south ground, and in view of the improved showing of the latter Merivale is booind to be kept very busy. At tlie Show Urouiuia Christ- . church will meet Linwood, and tiiis should prove to be one of tlie finest games seen, here this season. With Linwood still unbeaten and the magnificent display by Christchurch last Saturday when, tney drew witn Merivale, those wbo attend this match should witness a game that should not soon be for-, gotten. On chow Ground i\o. 2 tne J un j° r match, Riccartoh v. Linwood, will be played. This should be a very interesting gume as only one point separates the teams.
