OBITUARY.

SIB HENHY DAVY. (By Cable—Press Association —Copyright.} (Aufttralwn and N.Z. Cabie Association.) LONDON, May 10. , The death is annunced of. iSir Henry "Davy, physician to the Eoyal Devon and Exeter Hospital, at tJae age of sixty-seven years. [Sir Henry Davy, K.8.E., C.8., was a well-known medical man. Born in 1855. he was educated at Honitan Grammar School and-Guy's Hospital, and graduated M.D. at the University of London. He was vice-president of the British Medical Association and president of the Association at its meeting in 1907. Sir Henry Davy was consulting physician to the Koyai Devon and Exeter Hospital and the Southern Army Command.] Th© death occurred at Greytown on Wednesday of Mr Thomas MeCrackeii, after an illness of about 12 months. Deceased, who was a well-known and respected resident of Greytown, was proprietor of the local paper, the "Wairarapa Standard." He was 69 years of age, and is survived by. his wife, three sons and two daughters.

Cabled advise has been received from the Burma Oil Company, Rangoon, of the death there on April'26tli, of Mr Harold Ward, youngest brother .of ex-Chief-Detective. Ward (Wellington) and Detective-SergeantWard, ot Auckland. Deceased, wiio was 23 year? of age, left New Zealand in 1911, for England to join - the Coldstream Guards. He was a member of the first Guards Brigade (tue Bent to France at the outbreak of the ■war, and was wounded at the retreat from Mons: Returning to iris regiment, he took part, in all the engagements up to the signing of the Arumtice. ciubsequentiy jue volunteered for service in North Russia, and served there. On demobilisation he went to Burma, where, at the time of hie death, he was in the employ of the Burma Oil Company. Death resulted from an operation at Yenangyoong for aoute appendicitis. '
