Fifteen ilmndred employees of Messrs Tickers, Ltd., attended a memorial f*rvice to Sir Ross Smith and Lieutenant Bennett. The congregation, which was surrounded on three sides by aeroplanes, included Sir Arthur Whitten "Brown (who accompanied the late Sir John Alcock on his flight across the Atlantic in 1919), and Captains Cockerill and Broome, who were both participants in the Cape-Cairo flight.
