FENDALTON SANITATION.
TO 'IHE ZUITOII OF ".THE PBESS."' Sir, —I rejoice to sea that sonio one has. at last, been aroused to tho revolting state of drainage and sanitation si bout Fendalton. I am not at all surprL*;d to hear that diphtheria lias broken out, indeed, I cannot thiol; uhy it did not do eo sooner. Sonic tiruo since I bought a hous<; in Fc-ndallon, and have alv.avj regretted it. It is a lovely suburb, 'but is fast being ruined by its barbarous methods of sanitation. Who, I ask, would care to live in a district, ivheve, for houri on one night in the \icek, their olfn.c-tory organs ■sverc assailed by such poisonous odours from which there is no escape 'i Many people have declined to buy in Feada!■ton for the reasons I have stated. Can you. or any of your readers suggest a next move to the long-suffering residents irhose property is being depreciated and their health, and that of their children impaired.—Yours, etc., OBSERVER.
