Flower and her mother, Mrs Hobinson (Foxton), are returning to-day from a- short visit to Dunedin. Mrs G. L. Rutherford and family (Macdonald Downs) will spend Easter week at their Ihouse nt Sumner. Miss D. Anderson has returned from a visit to Southland and Dunedin. Mies Bell (Wellington), who will be taking part in the golf tournament at Shirley next week, will stay with her sister, Mrs Geoffrey Denniston. Mr and Mre Hunter-Weston, who have been spending a few weeks at their house at Sliirley, are returning to Timaru to-day. Sir Francis and Lady Boys will .spend the Easter holidays at Akaroa. Miss N. Wright (Timaru), who is coming to Christchurch for the golf tournament, will bo the guest of Mrs John Anderson (Armagh street). Mrs E. C. Todhunter, who has been visiting Mrs Todhunter (Naseby street), has returned to the country. Dr. and Mrs Frank A'Court are going to Banmer for a few days. Mrs Cayloy Robinson and Miss Mono. Robinson have returned from a visit to Napier. Mrs H. H. Knight and Miss Eileeni Knight left for a trip to Mt. Cook. Mrs Kohn leaves to-day for a visit to Hanmer. Miss Bell' Compton (Rangiora) and Miss Mabel Woodfield (Hoon Hay) leave for Kurow and Dunedin to-day. Mr and Mrs Weaver (Kohat, India) are arriving in Christchurch to-day, and will stay at Warwick •' House. Mrs Weaver, who was Miss Nancy Thomson, has many friends in Canterbury. Miss Adele Seay left last night for Wellington, en route for, Auckland, where'she will represent the Otago University at the Inter-University Tournament to be held there at Easter. - Mrs Duncan Rutherford and Miss Ella Rutherford (Leslie Hills) arrived in town last evening, and are staying at Warwick House. Mr and Mrs Julius Benjamin (Melbourne) axe staying at Warner's. Recent arrivals at the United Service are Mr and Mrs Freeborn Parsons ("Ben-More," Marlborough), Mr and Mrs J. McDonald and Mr W. J. Prictor (Dunedin), and Mr and Mrs E. Cameron (Dunedin). The Mayor and Mayoress of Riccarton (Mr and Mrs A. D. Ford) are visiting Auckland. Mrs Stevenson and Miss Elder (Dunedin): are :staying at Warwick House. . At the Cashmere Sanatorium, on Saturday evening, Mrs T. A. Cherry, accompanied by Misses Mary "Ward, Butterworth, Rugg, Lewis, Jean Cherry, Messrs W. Joll, W. Davie, and O. J. -Bell ; gave a most delightful concert, including several vocal solos and partsor.ga by many of Mrs Cherry's pupils. Miss Emily Thompson was accompaniate. At the conclusion of the concert a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mrs Cherry. The health programme of the Y.W.C.A. includes physical culture classes, arranged according to the age and physical development of the girls taking the classes. The course is designed to be recreational, so as to provide relaxation after the strain of a day's work. Miss Ruth Jarvis, a graduate of the British Physical Training Association, will act as physical director, and under her popular direction health, fun,, and exercise will alii be gained. At the meeting of the Wellington Presbytery, held on Tuesday evening, it was resolved to 6end a letter conveying felicitation's and congratulations to Mra Marchbanks (mother of Mr J. TR Marchbanks, the engineer to the Wellington Harbour Board) on attaining flier hundredth birthday. Mrs Marchbanks lived formerly in Dunedin, where Mr Marchbanks, once a prominent Rugby footballer, was born.
