He under-estimated greatly the jobs that he did, and lost on nearly all of them. The greater part of the work was alteration work, and he had io do a great deal that he had not anticipated. Mr P. P. J. Amodeo stated that "Bankrupt would receive a sum of approximately" £175 from the estate of his mother. There were liens totalling £526 18s 2d on a property belonging to the bankrupt at itedoliffa. Mr A.- S. Taylor mentioned a lien for work done by bankrupt at the Oxford Hotel. It was an Amount of £BO or more on behalf of Hatherly Bros. ■.'•'•-. '. Mr Napper contended that he lhad paid bankrupt £l5O too much, as the work waa not according to specifications. l Bankrupt, under examination, stated that he not a bookkeeper. There were blanks in parte of Ma.books. Mr Hunter, Mr Amodoo said -tharie did not think bankrnpt could give particulars of all the amount* he had handled. Bankrupt stated that he had not kept a wages book. r Mr Hunter asked the Official Assignee to make anvestigafaons as to whether the etatute books had been complied with.
