(Received January 2nd, 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 81. The revenue for the last nine months was £676,831,000, and the expenditure £739,990.000, leaving a deficit of £63,159,000. The revenue decreased by £211,972,000, and the expenditure decreased by £102,699,000. The chief decrease in revenue was in stamps £7,420,000; Customs duties, £2,848,000; excess profits duty (which is inoperative except for arrears), £126,640,000. The chief increases in revenue were: Income tax, £16,818,000; corporation profits tax. £192,900,000.
