The report of the British Ministry of Transport Committee on "dazzle" lights, the result of numerous tests of devices to prevent the dangerous glare of motor hotwllieihts, was to hare boon published shortly after the last maik left England for New Zealand. It has taken mora than a year to prepare, and evidence lias been collected from motorin? experts, the police, and the cycling institutions. It was understood that no special rinti-dazzle device is recommended by the committee, but that the report is in favour of reducing the height of the beams of headlights, so that the glare will not come within the direct vision of cyclists and pedestrians. This suggestion is recommended to the manufacturers of lamps, and may in the future be the subject of new regulations. Mr Arthur Neal, Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport, said in the House of Commons that it was hoped that legislation will be introduced nest session to deal with thq whole question of the regulation of road vehicles. .
