Cumming and Co. Ltd.). , . , The chairman, Mr Orchard, gave a brief resume of tne work which ths Chamber had concerned itself with duiy the quarter, and o{ the Dominion held m Christchurch last month. „''. , ■*• Er. C. Ohilton, rector of Canterbury College, waited on the Chamber. and aaked for assistance for. the cpllege library, which, he Baid, contained works of value to business men and others . , Professor J. B. Ooridliffe supported ' the request, and said that business men v could, be assisted in several ways by the economic staff. , .■- , i The chairman Baid that the Chamber wasln sympathy with the request, and * he was confident that any, donation Wren would be money well spent ~ - It.wao decided, on the motion of; Mr r D XJ> P.
