Aerated Water Workers. Tlie Court'* memorandum is: "The Court has settled the clauses relating to hour?, wages, and holidays, and has made tnitvr alterations in other clauses. The awajd, which comes into effect on Decembnr 12th, 1921, and is to continue till December 12th, JIMS, provide* Hours of work—49 per week from November Ist to April 30th, W hours per week for the remainder of the year: work to etui each week at noon Saturday. Waces (inside workers)—cordial makers it 2s per week, bottlers, packers, and case makers, XI lt'.s per week, plus 8s per week bonus; bottle washers, gene.ral labourers about tho factory £3 12*, plus 8s per week homis; cimi.il labour, 2s per hour; youths' worm, 15 to 16 years, 25s per week; 16 io 17, 30e; 17 to ,18s, 85s; 18 to 19, £2; 19 to 20. £2 ss; 20 to 21, £2 16». Overtime: Time and * half for first 3 hours; double time thereafter, and on Sundays. The provision* of the award shall apply only a* regards cordial manufacturing, bottling, case-making, and bottle washing to tho following parties: J. J. Melhuish and Co., Hayward Bros., Bomrington and Co., Kempthorne, Prosser and Co., Price and Co., H. F. Steven*, and 'Baraett and Co. Tnctlon and Stationary Engine* Drirun. Tie Court has settled the provisions relating to hour*, holidays, wages, dirt money, and exemption*; in other respects the award embodies the Teoommendationa of ttyo Conciliation Council to which the parliea agreed. The award, which take* effect from December 12th, 1921, and i* to remain- in force till June 80th, 1928, provide*:—Hours, 48 per week, a day's work not to exceed 8i hours, exclusive of time to get up steam. Subject to the Factories' Act, employers are entitled to arrange suoh hours of work according to the exigencies of their trade or business, and such hour* may be worked in shift*, either day or night. Overtime: Time and « half for first three hours: double time thereafter. In respect of traction en-gine-drivers, ihe employer* may agree with tho workers for hours of work other than those preacribed, but time in exoes* of uinw hours per day to fee paid aa overtime; in the case of the Halawell Quarries, Ltd.. fie limit i* extended to 12 hours.
