How it was administered is Unknown. It was added tlwb the State liad attempted to intimidata Miss Morgan, declaring that if she cama to Sari Francisco to give evidence, her career would bo ruined.
The Arbucklo case wtnt to tTie jnry at 4.15 p.m. Tho jury was locked up. Arbucklo displayed nervousness during the closing (hours of counsel's argument, making innumerable paper balls. , The jury has been , out twenty hbuni and is still undecided.
Mr Gavin McNab, Arbuckle's chiefi counsel, concluded his argument by arraigning the State for failing to bring out any definite detailed statement of Jliss Rappe to explain the enquiry, and also for its failure to call Mrs Delmont, who had lodged tlho complaint. Arbuckle's attoriHy revealed that the accused had received threats to assassinate him if ho was acquitted.
