FARMER'S BANKRUPTCY.
MEETING OF D. G. WEIGHT'S CREDITORS. TEe adjourned meeting of the creditors of Gem-re David Wright, farmer, of Tikao, Banks Peninsula, was held yesterday, Mr A. W. Eames, Official Assignee, presiding. , The debtor's assets were set down at £4O, and his liabilities at' £393 10s, leaving a deficiency of £555 10s. The principal creditor was tne Rational Mortgage and Agency Co., Ltd ioi whom Mr H. D. Acland appealed. Bankrupt was examined by Mr Acland as to his position. He stated that when he purchased 100 head o cattle from Mr' Buckland he had lo head o cattle of his own, and a guarantee o £2OO from his father, liwre was a, number of cattle that he had purchased that he could not account for. Iheie was some rough country on which ttu Inimals were kept. He had seen 6 x of his cattle lying dead but he was sure that-there must be others dead it they could bo found. He had not kept an/books, but kept an account ot his transactions in a time book. He iiaa absolutely no idea what had become of the missing cattle, which numheied 38 ■ During tfie last twelve months hehad paid out very little money to any- ■ Mr H Wood, auctioneer for the >"a-' tional Mortgage and Agency Co., said it was practically lmnossime tor cattle to be lost off the property. The meeting then -closed.
