DOMAINS BOARD.
The Christchurch Domains Board met yesterday when there were present—Messrs Geo. Harper (chairman), J. A. Flesher, McGregor B. Wright, H. T. Armstrong, E. F. Stead, H. J. Beswick, H. Eaglesome, C. TV. Hervey, J. Jamieeon, S. A. Orchard, J. L. Scott, and Dr. O. Chilton. The financial statement -to November 28th showed total' income £613 13s lOd, debit balance, £948 4a lOd, total general expenditure, £361 10a 2d, wages for unemployed £694 4fl 9d. The C.E.M.S. Band was granted* permission to practise marching in South Park on Sunday between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. The chairman reported that an inspection of the trees' in the Park had been made in connexion with the reported disease in I oaks. Mr J. Young, curator, advised the Board to await a further report from Captain Ellis. J The curaior, in hie ordinary report, stated that planting had been completed. The potato crop was looking well. All the work [ tor the unemployed gang authorised by the ! Board had been completed, and if the Board ; wished the gang to continue working in the [ gardens, ho would suggest that the Board | make an inspection. I The report was adopted, and it was dej cided to make an inspection of the gardens on Monday at 4.30 p.m. ■%
