At the inquest on Edward Burton, a verdict of accidentally.drowned was returned, no blame being attachable to anyone, i The Coroner highly commended the action of Oliver Burton in attempting to savo deceased, but said he found tlhat appalling indifference or unaccountable ignorance had been shown by several other persons, not amounting to criminal negligence.
